Jason Handley

Jason Handley is our Student Minister. He firmly believes that Jesus Christ came to save that which was lost.(Matthew 18:11) Jason was saved at the age of 15 and called to preach/pastor just 2 years later. He is the husband to Mrs. Telia Handley, and the father to their three daughters Brilee Jordan, Jayd Noel, and Makenna Joy. They are expecting a fourth child June 2019!
Bro. Jason has been active in youth ministry since 2002, and was called by Gods leadership to FBC Atmore in 2018. Bro. Jason has a spirit led heart for young people and wants to see the youth of FBC have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that shines in our community. His heart is to evangelize, not only out of pure duty, but out of desire, concern, and love for our neighbors. Bro. Jason has been on many mission trips within the U.S. He has been involved with youth rallys, youth camps, and evangelical outreach ministries such as, Nursing home ministry, Daytona Beach Ambassadors for Christ ministry, prison ministries, and neighborhood Bible times.
Bro. Jason is bivocational with a secular career as a State Farm Insurance adjuster in our area and surrounding counties. He has been in that role for 12 years. His work van can often be spotted by seeing the Notre Dame signage in the windows and on the front tag. He is a very involved fan of the University of Notre Dame in all sports and loves the traditions and focus that they carry on celebrating Christ.
Jason attended Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, as well as Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. (taking online courses)
Outside of work Bro. Jason greatly enjoys coaching soccer & basketball with his children. He enjoys playing golf, basketball, billiards, and just about any sport that offers a challenge. He has never lost a putt-putt match, so if your feeling confident shoot him an invite, and he’ll surely be up for the challenge.

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”
