
Interim Pastor Larry Patterson
Beginning in January 2026, Larry will be First Baptist Church of Atmore’s interim pastor as the search for the full-time pastor is already underway. Larry Patterson retired June 30, 2025 as the associational missionary for Escambia Baptist Association. He had served in this role for more than four years. His ministry included serving as pastor of several churches in the state, including Little Escambia Baptist Church, Flomaton, and as director of missions for Baldwin Baptist Association. Larry currently resides in Flomaton, Alabama.

Minister of Worship and Families
John is passionate about leading others in worship and has a deep love for Jesus. He has served in ministry for many years at churches throughout Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. John is married to his wife, Christie, and together they have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and five wonderful grandchildren. In his free time, John enjoys playing guitar, hunting, running, and cycling.

Minister to Students
Geoffrey has been in youth ministry in either a volunteer or official position for 15 years. He has a a passion for students and worship! He and his wife, Sydney, met while serving as students in worship together, and followed a call to minister together. He plays drums with a worship band, The Theikos Exchange. His prayer for our student ministry is that they look for and follow God’s call on their lives, and for them to be vulnerable enough to hold one another accountable and rely on each other, growing as a family in Christ!

Director of Children Ministries
Robin Stewart, our Children’s Ministry Director, is married to Kris and they have 2 children, a son, Kole and a daughter, Maggie. Robin loves being around children, she hasn’t quite grown up herself! She longs to help lead children to a relationship with Jesus Christ and to develop in them a desire to seek God first in all things. Robin is employed as an Administrative Assistant with the Atmore Police Department. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family doing anything at all. Robin also enjoys reading when she has time and loves the beach.
