FBC Atmore Serves Our Community on Atmore Day!

On Saturday, April 11th, 2026, a group from First Baptist Church Atmore had the joy of living out our faith through acts of service as part of “Atmore Day.”

Our goal was simple: to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving Rachel Patterson Elementary School. Thirteen members of our church family showed up ready to work, and together we accomplished several needed projects:

  • Trim hedges around the school grounds
  • Planted fresh flowers in existing planters
  • Assembled a new pergola to provide much-needed shade for teachers supervising students on the playground

It was a wonderful morning of teamwork, sweat, and smiles as we worked side-by-side to bless the students, teachers and staff at Rachel Patterson Elementary. We are thankful for everyone who gave their Saturday morning to serve:

  • John and Christie Stuckey
  • Robin Stewart
  • Geoffrey and Sydney Garrett
  • Jerry and Sheila Johnson
  • Eric & Angela Stuart and their sons Dylan and Lane
  • Ricky & Cheryl Golson

A special thank you to John Stuckey for organizing Atmore Day and for his heart to see our church actively serving our community.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40 (NIV)

We believe the gospel is not only shared with words but also shown through love and action. Days like today remind us what it looks like when the church steps out to be a blessing to our neighbors.

Would you like to join us next time we serve our community? Let us know! We’d love to have you be part of showing the love of Christ in practical ways.
