Mary Beth Lancaster

Mary Beth Brantley Lancaster lives in Atmore, Alabama. She is married to Steve, and they have three daughters: Page, Bailey, and and Mary Thompson. Mary Beth has been blessed to serve as a church pianist since the age of 11 and has served in several churches throughout the years. She is also a member of the church handbell choir, and Steve serves as a deacon and active member of the local Gideons.

Mary Beth is employed at Jefferson Davis Community College where she teaches English and communications, serves as Chair of the Humanities Division, and serves as Chair of the Rosemary C. Jernigan Honors Program. She attended Mobile College and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1992 with a major in English and a minor in music. She returned to the University of Mobile to complete her Master of Arts Degree in English Education in 1993. She has done additional graduate study at Auburn University, University of South Alabama, and University of West Florida.

Mary Beth also teaches private piano lessons and when not at work or at church, she can usually be found at the football field, in the gym, or at the softball field as she is an active supporter of her daughters’ school activities. In her limited spare time, she enjoys reading and smocking.
